hey guys,
In these days I wanted to make a christmas present for myself, and I decided to buy some brushes and ink online.
I'm actually using SpeedBall Super Black India Ink, and I'm pretty satisfied with it, but I also wanted to try something new, maybe better than Speedball.
Can you suggest me another type of ink?

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Have experimented with a few different brands, but Speedball Super Black is the one I've used consistently.

The thing I've found is to use 2 bottles at the same time...a newer bottle is good for nib work, as it's more light and watery when it starts out. Then a more used bottle is good for brush/spotting blacks (once the bottle has been open and used for awhile, and is about half empty). So yeah, I alternate between two depending on what I'm using it for. Always with a fresh bottle I'll leave it uncapped for days at a time just to air it out and thicken it up.

Have fun!

I am quite a novice when it comes to ink but very serious about my illustration. How do you apply your ink, with koki or old school with a bottle you dip a pen in?
